The role

Watershed is hiring an experienced manager for our Solutions team! Since it was launched in late 2022, the Climate Solutions (CSol) team has been instrumental in increasing Watershed’s win rate and accelerating our growth trajectory. Having tripled in size in the last year, the CSol team is now looking to hire a US Enterprise Manager who cares deeply about hiring, developing and coaching a high-achieving team of Enterprise Solutions Consultants.

You and your team will be responsible for clinching technical wins across Watershed’s Enterprise customers as we prepare for another 2-3 years of rapid growth. You’ll be the voice of your team and their prospects within the organization, working closely with other GTM and product leaders to build shared context and resolve challenges.

As the first regional manager within the Climate Solutions team, you’ll set the culture both for your team and for Climate Solutions as a whole. You, along with the rest of Watershed’s leadership and people teams, are responsible for building a diverse, inclusive, and hard-working organization.

The North America CSol team is primarily based in SF and NYC, and we’re looking for a manager based in either of those cities. Travel may be required up to 10%.

You will:

  • Hire, develop and coach an outstanding team of Solutions Consultants to deliver against team targets
  • Manage individual and team performance, taking necessary actions to maintain
  • Collaborate with our product teams and be the voice of the customer, providing regular and actionable customer feedback
  • Develop and implement processes and tools that help the CSol function scale
  • Partner with AE managers on account planning, strategy and forecasting
  • Be a representative of the CSol function within the broader Watershed management team

You have:

  • At least 3 years of experience managing Solutions teams in an Enterprise SaaS space
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a Solutions Engineering / Solutions Consulting role
  • A track record of achieving technical wins with Enterprise ($1B+ revenue) customers, both as an IC Solutions Consultant and as a team manager
  • A passion for people development and coaching
  • Great examples of working cross-functionally to build great products for customers
  • A strong interest in becoming an expert in carbon accounting & corporate climate programs

At Watershed, we strive to design consistent, fair, and competitive compensation programs. The on target earnings range may be inclusive of several levels at Watershed and final offer will be determined by a number of factors, including the candidate’s skills, capabilities, and location, as well as scope of the role.

The anticipated on target earnings is inclusive of base salary + variable commission. Commission at Watershed is uncapped and includes tiers of acceleration with no deceleration in the plans. We offer a non-recoverable draw and ramp quota schedule during a new hire’s onboarding period. The provided compensation detail is in addition to a total rewards benefits package including equity, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), unlimited paid time off, paid parental leave (includes variable compensation during leave), fertility, and mental health programs etc.

Where does Watershed work?

We have hub offices in San Francisco, New York and London, and some remote team members in the US and EU. Most of our jobs need to be in San Francisco / New York / London, but certain jobs are open to being remote and will be specifically noted on the jobs page and in the job description.

What’s the interview process like?

It starts the same for every candidate: getting to know the team members through 1 to 2 conversations about Watershed, your experience, and your interests. Next steps can vary by role, but usual next steps are a skill or experience screen (e.g. a coding interview for an engineer, a portfolio review for a designer, deeper experience call for other roles) which leads to a virtual or in person interview panel after that if the screens go well. We prioritize transparency and lack of surprise throughout the process.
